Your beach-day checklist
Check items off below. Your checklist saves on this device.
Leave these at home
- Alcohol is prohibited on the shuttle and in day-use areas. County rules restrict possession to permitted camping areas.
- Large speakers, balloons, bikes, skates and motorized vehicles.
- Double-decker and metal wagons are not accepted by the shuttle. Avoid glass in the lagoon.
Rent or buy before boarding
No food or rental concession operates on the island. The shuttle sells snacks, drinks and sunscreen at the desk or on board. Its $20 snorkel rental includes a mask and snorkel, without fins; bring a valid government-issued ID. An accepted beach cart adds $5.
Gear to compare
Look for a well-fitting mask, sun-protective rash guard, dry bag, waterproof phone pouch, insulated cooler and collapsible wagon. Check product specifications and the boat’s restrictions before buying.
