The marina is west of the island. Ask rental staff for the recommended crossing and landing points. The crossing includes active boat traffic; wind, tides and current can make a short paddle demanding. Wear a properly fitted life jacket and carry water and a waterproof phone.
Exploring the shoreline
A shoreline outing can be rewarding, but a full circuit is optional. Set your route with the outfitter based on conditions, your ability and return deadline. Do not treat protected-looking water as a guarantee of calm conditions.
